Decides to be difficult. FJKLADJFDKJAS;FD;AS. I had a crapload of sketches I wanted to upload, too, and I'd post pictures of my paintings if I stopped being too lazy to go grab my phone's USB cord. The sketches included Desier, an OC from an original story I want to adapt into my novel (which I will, me and my friend Judy came up with hilarious ways he and Luther could interact). Desier was inspired by Princess Mononoke and lived in a place called the Greatwood home to many, many different mystic creatures of titanic proportions. The Greatwood as Desier knows it is only a "shade" of what the great valley of Vallis (which means "valley" in Latin LOL) once was in milennia past, coming into contact with Luther's Vallis through a magical backlash as epic as Odysseus's journey. In a short little venture in primitive Vallis, Desier comes to Luther's Vallis and finds his own way to live.

There was also a sketch of Aster contemplating Ratatosk's core, a random sketch of Edward (my OC, NOT THAT FJKLADSJFKLJDSAFJADLSJF;JA;SFJ;ASFKDSJAFJS;JF;LASJFLKAJS "vampire."), and one of a griffin (also from my novel) named Razorfeather, colored like golden sand with black feather tips and markings around the face. Still undecided if Razorfeather's a girl or boy griffin. Looks like a girl, though.

Other than that, bought a few books (The Black Gryphon by Mercedes Lackey; really liked it, MUST BUY NEXT TWO BOOKS, and a guidebook to gemstones  ), read them, need moar to read. So I've been actually working on my novel. I finally have all the pieces I want in place with a basic plot to follow outlined so I don't need to change anything around so much anymore. And I have a beginning I actually like, where you get a basic idea of Luther and co's lives for the past decade, see Reno's erratic personality (bumming blacksmith workshops at any time of day or night haha) and he begins teaching Luther magic. Where I conveniently get to tell readers about how magic works in my story.

I had this elaborate thing based on chakras (no, not Naruto chakras >_<;) with magical energy being in the spine. I went with something simpler instead, which I'm too lazy to explain. Only your pretty golden ring with a pretty jewel is the source of your unfathomable power as a mage, if your magic doesn't break it. Other objects can be used, living or nonliving, but jewels and metals are the main mediums of magic. Cause they, y'know, came from the planet's blood, so to speak.

That, and I'm procrastinating my Spanish homework and drinking too much cream soda.

Nice day

For outdoors work. I remember trying to grow carrots one summer, but only one (mini) survived. I think I'll stick with flowers, if I get to plant anything. I know there might be spare flowerpots I can use. Anyway, I need some extra cash to pay my debt to my school (only $15 of which is actually incurred by me; the other $8.13 is a fee yearbook forced on me for a senior ad I never wanted), so I offered to trim the front yard for my mom. Which she agreed to.

IT'S A JUNGLE OUT THAR. The three or four rosebushes took over most of the walkway, and there are these woody, leafy shrubs in and around the hedge. So I took a pair of clippers and gardening gloves and attacked it. Some of the thorns were HUGE. I skinned my thumb. It isn't bleeding, but it was burning, so I put a band-aid with neosporin on it. Then there was the matter of trying to stuff all the thorny greenery into the greens pail, which was already half-full from the jungle out back. So, uhm, I just smashed the lid on it. It worked pretty well.

The front yard is a carpet of weeds, particularly the white dandilions whose seeds float on the wind. My mom just vaccumed inside the house, and I come inside with all those fluffy seeds on my shoes and pants. Oh joy~ So the roses are pretty tame now, and I didn't finish trimming the shrubs because it was hot and they were hard to cut. I need the gigantic clippers, but I can't find them. Boooooooo.

And stupid people just threw trash in our lawn. Mmmmkay, just because our lawn looks like a wasteland doesn't mean it's a landfill! Jerkfaces. Boooooooo. Doubleboo.

Oh yeah, and Corel Painter's fixed. So I'll start posting colored stuff again soon. Sure, it's not Photoshop, but it has one thing Photoshop doesn't--IT IMITATES TRADITIONAL PAINTING OH YEAHHHHH.

And I'm pissed at my art teacher 'cuz he won't let me use oil paints, even though he told me before, "You should use oils!" Jerk.

LMAO, I'M SEME, JUST LIKE MY FRIENDS AT SCHOOL SAID. What's hilarious is that I'm a girl. :XD:

Other than that wonderful quiz, not much news except I discovered some new goodies in Legendia:

--Senel gets the title "Excited Brother" if you play as someone else and have him use an item.
--Senel gets the title "Flower Master" (oh yeah you read that right) after you beat the Lovebird monsters in the room of the Man-Eating Ruins where the Mimic Bed was (Sorcerer's Scanner).

Also, I'm having a wee bit of trouble ... I can't find a Clear Shell to make Chloe's Skull Mask, and I can't find any mini-automata so Will can FINALLY learn Antishelter. And Kaz's decoded Aifread's journal line: "There's a bed in a house of crystal" makes no sense. I checked the Crystal Forest ... nothing. Where else is there crystal? I'll check out the Ice Monument later, but I'm a bit doubtful about it.

FUCK YOU KRATOS D<

UGH. Whoever had the oh so bright idea of putting Kratos as a cameo boss in ToV should be shot repeatedly and thrown to the wolves. JFKLDAJSFKLJDSL;AFKDLSFJL;DSJAFL;KAS.

I beat Nordopolica's 200 man melee tournament with Yuri, Raven, and Repede. I almost beat it with Rita (LEVITATION<3), but freaking Kratos killed me, but that's not what I'm upset about.

Yuri's not cursed. Estelle's cursed. When I played her in the 200 melee, I got petrified not even halfway through. Second time, I accidentally equipped Baratos's ring when I was looking for Shizel's Necklace (but it's only equippable by Rita anyway), so I couldn't change my equipment or use items. Then when I was fighting Shizel she hits me with (miasma lol) contamination, so in addition to not being able to use items, I can't use my artes. And for some reason, Estelle's healing artes DON'T WORK. WTF. They worked in the other melees, so what the hell?! In spite of this, I defeat Shizel and Barbatos (TAKE THAT DOUCHEBAG) and get all the way to Kratos. Can't heal myself, can't use items or artes ... so I die.

Third time, I got all the way to Kratos ... and he kills me because he has insane chaining combo'ing and has a stupid shield thingy every three seconds after I break it. I can't even get up to run away because he's pretty much raping Estelle. So I end up dead with him almost dead and only two minutes to go. FUCK YOU KRATOS.

And that was on Easy Mode.

I don't know why they put Kratos there as a cameo, since we fought him three times in Symphonia. Big whoop. I know it's prolly because he's the most popular, but there's no fun in fighting someone you've fought before. Dhaos was great because of DHAOS BLAST AND DHAOS LASER (plus I love his voice), I never played whatever game Shizel's in (Eternia ...?) and I never played Destiny, though I still hate Barbatos for his NO ITEMS EVER attack.

Since Dawn of the New World was in development at the same time as Vesperia, it'd have been cooler if Vesperia had a cameo of Emil and Marta in Nordopolica (or Richter), and DotNW Yuri and Repede in Meltokio (I mean c'mon, monster and human teams, right? Hahaha). Now I hate Kratos. I want to stab him repededly. (Did you notice the pun there? Hahahah *Slash'ed*)

So I'm almost done with all the insane projects my teachers have been giving me. I've been done with my economics project; I just need to form and practice my presentation (and stretch it for 15 minutes ... gah). There's my visual essay in my English class (we began presenting them, but I haven't even started mine yet ... eeeek. It's really simple ... I just need text, images, soundtrack, etc. I just need to put it together. iMovie, work your magic! Appleworks shall help, and Sound Studio~). I have two tests tomorrow: a vocabulary one in Economics and a math test. Econ I studied for, I already knew more than half the terms. For math, though, I only copied down formulas, and we did practice a bit in class today. We're allowed a page of notes, so I'm going to use the formulas, though I'unno how to use the binomial theorem formula or the binomial distribution ... For the former one, I'm prolly gonna do it longhand (generic rectangle ftw!), even if it's something crazy like (2-3y) to the seventh power. Wtf.

I also have an essay in English due Monday (not that hard, she practically outlined the subject for us). I don't know when we're presenting the Health stuff, but I do know that it's only 4 minutes long and my topic is vaccines, which I know plenty about. Pretty much dead disease causing agent that are introduced to people so that they build immunity. Ta-dah!

Then there's the art project. Wheeee. We have two weeks per project, the current one's Fantasy Ride, where three or more people in different poses are riding something people wouldn't normally ride, which isn't limited to animals. We're supposed to be doing it all on paper now, since we're running out of canvas materials and my teacher doesn't want us to make any more, even though there's plenty for the rest of this year ... he's saving them for the next year's students. SCREW THEM. I WANT CANVASES D8< There's at least one canvas I can paint over, and some others if my older sis gives me the okay.

So my Fantasy Ride has Raven from Tales of Vesperia riding a watipi (Native American name for an elk), bending almost backwards, aiming his bow at two following pursuers: Desier (my original character) riding a velociraptor (utahraptor in size) along the banks of a river (the elk's in the water), and in the background by the green rolling hills is a giant wolf (I was watching Princess Mononoke hahaha), ridden by Rita Morido (from Vesperia), pointing the way for her wolf to go.

In art class I tend to generally produce less quality work than if I was working on the thing at home. At home, I'm more focused, there's less background noise, no one wants to randomly talk to and distract me, and I have more paint colors to work with. Plus I can watch movies or listen to music as I work, which I obviously can't do in class. I'm also more comfortable at home, sitting on the floor with a pillow or a blanket (dun care about stains lol) using the low coffee table to paint on. I took the project home today, worked on it for three hours straight, then when I looked at the clock ... why hello, Mr. 9 O'clock at night! When did you get here?

The project is pretty much almost done. When I brought it home, there was only the river, the elk, and part of Raven. Now there's Desier and his raptor, Rita and the wolf god, a background, and said background painted with only the people and animals remaining. I also shaded the hills and highlighted where the sun's rays hit the hills and river. There's also splashing water where Raven's elk jumped in the river. Whoo-hooooooooo. I could prolly finish it tonight ... but it's almost midnight, so I'm gonna bring the project to school along with my paints so I at least have more colors and do I dare say higher quality paint ... yeah, I do.

The only thing I'm worried about is painting the people ... they're small, so it can get difficult. I can manage it, I just don't like doing it. And that's to say nothing of the shading and highlighting ... dammit. Ah, well. Impressionism is one of my favorite styles anyway. Screw fine detail! At least until I get better at said fine detail.

I didn't like painting much at school. But now that I had a chance to spend some quality time doing it, I realized how much I love it. I forgot how much I loved it, so I didn't look forward to painting at school. I guess that saying is true: if your hobby becomes your work, you might not like it as much as you did.

I also started writing a short story (I hope it's short) about Desier. I'll hold off saying anything major until I get something posted on either Fictionpress or here. I will say that it involves his velociraptor, whose name is Wolfheart.
